ABOUT THIS AGENCY
Those of you who know me will be aware that I have talked for some time of the need for a holiday accommodation agency which deals specifically with Bay and the surrounding area.
For the last 3 years, I have been caretaking holiday cottages and apartments in Bay and Whitby and, having dealt with most of the existing agencies during that time, I felt sure that there was a better and fairer way both for property-owners and for the holidaymakers.
For a long time now, I have been receiving many calls from exasperated people who have to make endless phone calls to many different agencies and individuals, only to find that the cottage they wanted is unavailable. A one-stop accommodation agency specifically for this area would be a boon for all concerned.
To this end, I have tried to modify or disregard traditional practises in a way that will benefit all parties.

Annual contracts, membership fees and website fees charged to the property-owner, all of which increase the rental price. |

Compulsory holiday cancellation insurance charged to the holidaymaker. |
No compulsory holiday cancellation insurance. Although it is advisable to purchase it, we believe that the choice should be yours and not forced upon you. |
Compulsory ETC and Tourist Information membership. |
Rigid rules regarding room size, parking availability etc exclude many properties in Bay and Whitby from taking part in the ‘star rating’ scheme. |
Expensive glossy brochures which the holiday-maker pays for indirectly and 95% of which is useless if you are looking for a specific location or other specific requirements. |
No glossy brochure. Instead, a loose-leaf system of property details. Holidaymakers will receive by post only the details of those properties which suit their requirements. |
The primary aim of this agency is, and always will be, to facilitate the booking of self-catering accommodation in the area for potential holiday makers and to maximise the letting potential of every property for its owner. |
